In my last post I said that the cost of birth, marriage and death certificates were likely to increase in February and they have. If you have a look at the GRO.GOV.UK website you will see that certificates are now £11.00 each. That’s for the standard delivery, if you want a priority service you will now have to pay £35.00.
I’m sure we’d all rather not pay more, but I still think the service is pretty good value. I just wish that it was like the Queensland, Australia service where the information is pinged across to you as an email as soon as payment is received.
